Terms & Conditions

Please take a moment to read these Terms and Conditions before booking a tour with Discover Merzouga. They explain how bookings, payments, cancellations, travel insurance, and responsibilities are handled.

By making a booking with us, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions. If anything is unclear, please contact us before confirming your trip.

Booking & Reservations

You can request a booking through our website, by email, or by phone.

Your reservation is confirmed once we receive the required deposit and send you a written booking confirmation.

A 30% deposit of the total tour price is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your arrival in Morocco.

For bookings made less than 14 days before the tour starts, the full tour price may be required at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise stated, our prices are quoted in Euros (€) and are per person. Your final quotation will clearly explain what is included in your chosen itinerary, such as accommodation, transportation, meals, guides, and activities.

Please check your itinerary and booking confirmation carefully and let us know as soon as possible if any information needs to be corrected.

Payment Methods

Depending on the type of booking, we may offer the following payment options:

  • Wise transfer
  • Bank transfer
  • PayPal
  • Credit card through an available booking platform

Any payment processing or transfer fees will be communicated to you before payment is made.

For student or group tours, different deposit arrangements may apply and will be confirmed as part of your quotation.

Once your payment has been received and verified, we will confirm your booking in writing.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can sometimes change. If you need to cancel your Morocco tour, please contact us as soon as possible.

Our standard cancellation policy is:

  • More than 30 days before departure: Full refund, minus a €50 administration fee
  • 15–30 days before departure: 50% refund of the total tour price
  • 7–14 days before departure: 25% refund of the total tour price
  • Less than 7 days before departure: No refund

Certain bookings, accommodation arrangements, special services, or third-party reservations may have different cancellation conditions. If this applies to your booking, we will inform you before confirmation.

If Discover Merzouga has to cancel a tour because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as serious natural events, government restrictions, or other force majeure circumstances, we will work with you to offer either a suitable alternative date or a refund according to the circumstances and payments already made to third-party suppliers.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for every traveler joining a Morocco tour.

Your policy should ideally cover:

  • Medical treatment and hospitalization
  • Trip cancellation or interruption
  • Lost, delayed, or stolen luggage
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Repatriation
  • Other unexpected travel-related expenses

Please check the conditions of your insurance carefully before traveling to make sure it provides appropriate coverage for your trip.

Liability & Responsibility

Discover Merzouga works with local accommodation providers, drivers, guides, transportation companies, desert camps, and other service providers to organize your Morocco experience.

We make every effort to work with reliable local partners. However, some services are provided by independent third parties, and we cannot be held responsible for circumstances outside our reasonable control.

This may include:

  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances
  • Changes to accommodation or services made necessary by availability or operational issues
  • Strikes, natural events, government restrictions, or other force majeure circumstances
  • Acts or omissions of independent service providers
  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
  • Personal injury, illness, or medical emergencies

If an unexpected situation occurs during your tour, we will do our best to assist you and find a practical solution.

Travelers are responsible for keeping their passports, money, valuables, travel documents, and personal belongings safe during the trip.

We recommend keeping copies of important documents, including your passport and travel insurance details, separately from the originals.

Changes to Your Itinerary

Morocco is a country with changing road conditions, weather, local events, and seasonal circumstances. Occasionally, it may be necessary to adjust the order or timing of activities during your tour.

If a change is necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to keep the itinerary as close as possible to the original plan while protecting your safety and maintaining the quality of your experience.

Any significant changes will be discussed with you whenever possible.

Privacy

At Discover Merzouga, we respect your privacy and take reasonable steps to protect the personal information you provide to us.

We collect only the information needed to communicate with you, arrange your booking, and provide the services included in your tour.

Depending on your booking, this may include:

  • Your name

  • Passport or identification details when required for travel arrangements
  • Accommodation information
  • Dietary requirements
  • Other information you voluntarily provide that is necessary to organize your trip

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

When information needs to be shared with hotels, guides, drivers, desert camps, or other service providers, it is used only when necessary to organize and provide the services included in your booking.
